Background
The Cambridge University Fire Troupe is a diverse community of individuals with a shared passion for fire. Originally established in 2004, it has greatly expanded since, and now includes 40-50 fire spinners from a variety of backgrounds ranging from dance to martial arts. They performed at Illumini in 2008 and then achieved a commission through Illumini,to perform at an Olympiad Event to celebrate the 2012 celebrations.

Since then they have teamed up with Fruity Clavé Samba Band , a Cambridge-based percussion group, who serve adrenaline-infused beats to accompany and enhance their fire shows. Cambridge Fire Troupe have performed at a number of events, including the London Decompression Fireshow (burning man community event) and The Rainbow Trust Fire Walk.

Statement
The creativity of their members and their diversity of skills, is what makes their shows so unique from fire spinning, dancers, belly dancers to the sound of drums. They are fully insured with public liability insurance and are able to accommodate any event from a small private gathering to a large scale event. They have taken their shows to a variety of events, from the massive gothic halls of St Johns College in Cambridge, to a contemporary art event at Illumini London and large scale audiences with celebration of the Olympiad event
