Background
In 2001 David graduated with a BA Honours in Fine art and sculpture at Leeds University. He has been a member of the prestigious London group since 2000 and regularly exhibited with them. In 2006 David's art work was displayed at the London Affordable Art Fair in Battersea. David has shown work nationally and was chosen to exhibit in Illumini Event 2008, from there we invited him to join us with a commission to exhibit at Quantum at the 'Light Up; Event, as part of the Olympiad 2012 celebrations.
Statement
David works with sculpture and also photography. His art develops in a series of works, giving great detail to quality and finish, using mixed media materials as a contrast to the forms within the space. David's more recent works are, aiming to comment on the advancements of technology today.
David believes work should stand-alone without the need for explanation and aim to create pieces that are immediately visual and accessible but with underlying ideas and concepts.
