Background

Georgia's Spike Light is include in the Victoria and Albert Museum permanent collection. She has worked with Alsop Architects to design lights for the Institute of Molecular Science, Queen Mary College london. Other commissions include lighting displays for the Conran London and Paris stores. She has also sold work to Liberty, Conran and Heals , and designed lighting manufactured under royalty  by Fontana Arte .


Statement

Georgia Scott is the sole designer of her studio established in 1998 at Cockpit Arts Workshops , London. Since its inception, Georgia has acquired a reputation for innovative bespoke sculptural light design.

Combining handcraft and industrial techniques, to create organically inspired forms, Georgia's use of intriguing materials such as woven metal meshes, parchment, low energy fibre optics and LEDs combine to produce an atmospheric blend of light, ethereal silhouettes and subtle shapes.
