I am a photographer with a ‘painters' eye. I merge the ‘decisive moment' with concept and montage. My work has a visceral meaning that belies its visual surface/ process, and the process is as important as the final show.  I try and not use the same methods for each project, this brings a fresh impetuous to truly explore all the possibilities.  I use photography and digital imaging technologies to create visceral layers that question historical and cultural concepts of time and space, namely the construction of each piece is timed (Clock and Date) so all have the consideration as is the space (the size and placement in series).

Each project often consists of multiple works, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work. My work has progressed (in the early years) from single image statements to multi image series. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and innovative techniques, my unconscious is the undisputed project manager. The concrete, repetitive nature of this work frees my imagination and provides many opportunities for a 'happy accident' to influence the finished product.

My influences (photography): Henri Cartier Bresson, Chris Anthony, David Bailey, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Watson, Eugene Atget, Ansel Adams, Yousef Karsh, Sebastieo Salgado, Richard Avedon, Man Ray, David LaChapelle, Guy Bourdin, helmut newton
