Background
Having trained in three dimensional design and communicative media I have worked as a freelance industrial artist and designer for the past fifteen years within a number of industries including architecture, product design, toy design, animation, film, theatre and television.
Over the past five years I have increasingly developed my own interests and practice as a visual artist taking industrial production and television design techniques as a starting point.
Statement
A large part of my practice has evolved from the reconciliation of my technical design background with my interests in traditional craft, sustainability and the natural environment through the creation of kinetic works, installations and moving image pieces responding to natural phenomena and movement. My work stems from and reflects my fascination with the surrounding environment and the interface between and man-made and natural.
