Background
Samira Englund graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, (BA Art Practice) in 2010.
Statement
Samira's main field of practice is image making; primarily painting but also photographic imagery made in collaboration with photographers. The works can be seen as snapshots of a constructed everyday, of credible impossibilities in a dreamlike state. Recurring themes are power relations and their sometimes ambiguous nature.
